Attention Scouters!

San Joaquin.jpg

The Sequoia Council needs your help to design the 2015 Friends of Scouting (FOS) Recognition Coin. You may recall that the council is currently doing a set of coins commemorating each of the 4 districts in the council. In 2014 we recognized the Thunderbird District of Madera County and for 2015 it will be San Joaquin District’s turn in the spotlight.

Here is where you come in, we need your help to design the coin! We need a simple design to identify that this coin commemorates the San Joaquin District. The San Joaquin District covers most of Fresno County, with the communities of Fresno, Clovis, Sanger, and all the way up to Big Creek! We are looking for a design that will encompass the spirit of scouting in our area.

When submitting your design remember it will be shrunk down to an area only 1 3/8ths inches in diameter, so intricate details may not show up.

You can submit a design electronically by emailing sequoia@scouting.org with your design attached or by bringing your design in person to our office. If submitting electronically we will need it in a .jpg format. With your design, please include your name, contact information, and what position you hold in scouting.

This is a call for all scouters regardless of age, location, or skill to help us out and design the 2015 FOS Recognition Coin.

All designs must be submitted by August 29th, 2014 now extended to September 5 2014.
