Our Leave No Trace Master Educator Course is held in the high country of the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. We look forward to you joining us for a fantastic learning and adventure experience.
"Much of the curriculum added into a BSA Leave No Trace ME course is to help graduates become a top-level Leave No Trace resource for their unit, district, and council.
A major goal for our BSA Leave No Trace ME courses is to gradu-ate effective and active Leave No Trace Masters who will return to their home council and conduct the key Leave No Trace Trainer courses needed to support their unit, district and council outdoor programs."
The course will begin with 2 days of classroom instruction followed by three days in the backcountry either at a primitive campsite or on a backpacking trek. The course will return to Camp Chawanakee for summary and closure sessions.
All meals during the course and necessary course materials are provided as part of the registration fee. Also included are registration with the Center for Outdoor Ethics as a Leave No Trace Master Educator and one year membership in Leave No Trace.
Transportation to and from BSA Camp Chawanakee is not included in the fee. Course travel to the National Forest Trailhead or campground will be worked out on a car pool basis.
